Celebrating God’s Faithfulness Through the Years

Every September brings a chance to pause and reflect—not just on the beauty of the season around us, but on the steady hand of God through the seasons of life.

As a church family, one of the greatest privileges we share is looking back together and remembering how He has led, provided, and sustained us.

The psalmist declares,

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad” (Psalm 126:3).

Those words ring true when we recall the story of Friendship Baptist Church.

From its earliest days—when a small group of believers gathered in faith and prayer—to today, God has been writing a testimony of His grace.

What began as simple steps of obedience has grown into a ministry that touches lives in our community and around the world.

Over the past sixty years, we’ve seen prayers answered in ways only God could orchestrate:

  • Needs met at just the right time.
  • Hearts transformed by the gospel.
  • Young people discipled and sent out to serve.
  • Families strengthened through God’s Word.

Each testimony points us back to one truth—“Great is Thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:23).

As we celebrate the past, we’re reminded that

God’s faithfulness is not confined to yesterday’s blessings.

His mercies are new every morning, and His promises hold fast for today and tomorrow.

Looking ahead, we want to remain faithful to Him—just as He has been faithful to us.

Take a moment to reflect on your own story.

  • How has the Lord shown His faithfulness in your life?
  • What answered prayer, spiritual victory, or unexpected provision can you thank Him for?

Sharing these testimonies with others encourages the whole body and reminds us that the same God who sustained us in the past is leading us forward.

Together, let’s lift our voices in gratitude and commit to continue walking by faith.

Truly,

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.”

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, we gathered as a church family for a special Anniversary Sunday—a day filled with reflection, testimony, song, and fellowship. We praised God together in worship, rejoiced as brothers and sisters shared how the Lord has worked in their lives, and lifted our voices in songs of gratitude.

After the service, we enjoyed a sweet time of food and fellowship around the table. The joy on people’s faces in the pictures from the day is just another reminder that God has indeed been faithful, and we look forward with expectation to all He has yet to do in and through FBC.

Come join us!

About Friendship Baptist Church

Our purpose is to make much of our Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel through the preaching of His Word and the making of disciples. At Friendship Baptist Church (FBC) we teach the Bible in order to facilitate spiritual growth in all of God’s people and to provide opportunities for Christian fellowship. God has graciously used Friendship to further His work both locally and across the globe since 1965.
