“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness.” (Lam. 3:22-23) It is by God’s love and mercy that I’ve been allowed in a Christ-loving home and Christian schooling throughout my life. From an early age, I knew that I was a sinner and that Jesus is the only way to heaven. At age six, after hearing a Bible message from a children’s evangelist, I put my trust in Jesus as my Savior from sin. God gave me an exciting desire to know Him better, He has grown my faith, and shown me the necessity of trusting Jesus’ finished work on the cross as the object of my salvation. As a teenager I promised Him a life of service in Christian ministry if He so led. I am grateful for the opportunities He has since given me to serve Him. He is ever faithful to me, I owe my all to Him. Great is His faithfulness!
Laurinda has had the privilege of calling North Carolina home all her life. In 2005, she earned a B.A. in Counseling. Soon after, she married into a family of dedicated UNC Tarheel fans. Jonathan and Laurinda have two fun little Tarheels, Ian and Mykaela. Together, they enjoy cheering on all the Carolina blue teams, especially basketball. They also love biking the trails of Raleigh together and family getaways to the coast in any season! Besides her family and faith, Laurinda is passionate about singing, coffee, and her pet birds.
The Lord led the Clark family to Friendship in 2010. Jonathan teaches and coaches basketball at Friendship Christian School and Laurinda serves on the secretarial staff in the church office. They are thankful to be a part of the ministry here and for the ability to serve the Lord together.
