Thomas Bluemling
“Although I was raised in a Christian home, the purpose of my life was myself. After completing High School in 2007, I enlisted in the Marine Corps and largely turned away from whatever form of godliness I had. Then, between the years of 2007 and 2012, I became increasingly interested in studying Scripture and attending church. Finally, in late 2013, after completing the Russian language course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, the Holy Spirit birthed me into the kingdom. Thanks to a divine encounter with a book by John MacArthur, my view of myself and the state of my soul was turned upside-down. It was at this time in August of 2013 that the Holy Spirit enlightened the eyes of my understanding to the true and glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Thomas is from Pittsburgh, PA. He grew up in a Christian home. After completing High School in 2007, he enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served for ten years. Upon being saved in late 2013, he became absorbed in systematically studying the Scriptures and seeking to live out his faith. This led him to join an evangelism ministry in which he participated in his spare time throughout his second enlistment.
Shortly after his conversion, Thomas met Laura through volunteering with the children’s ministry at their church. In time their friendship grew into love and they were married on July 29th, 2017. On April 25th, 2021, they welcomed their first son Benjamin into the world. Thomas likes spending time with his family, writing, and reading old books on Christian teachings and inspiring saints of the past. Laura enjoys the great outdoors, fellowshipping with other believers, and helping people in general.
