FBC Ladies to Gather Around the Table for “Joy in the Morning”

As we settle into new winter rhythms, the ladies’ ministry of Friendship Baptist Church is offering a time of fellowship and refreshment on January 18.

“Sundays often don’t give us enough time to build deeper relationships with those we see every week,” said Ladies’ Ministry Director Heather Jones. “We hope this gives an opportunity for real connections in a fun setting.”

Event tables will be decorated by several talented ladies in the church – each offering their own unique take on this year’s theme “Joy in the Morning.” Attendees will enjoy tea-room-inspired food and beverages, in addition to music, games, and giveaways.

You’ll hear from three Friendship ladies in different seasons of life who have found joy in the morning due to the Lord’s sustaining presence. Becky DeAngelo will share her testimony of adversity, Erica Baldwin will discuss how we can gather around the table while others’ “night seasons” linger, and Sharon Woodard will share from Nehemiah how we can cling to joy in difficult circumstances.

Why should you attend?

“Taking a Saturday morning to ‘gather around the table’ with other ladies will bring a refreshed spirit of unity and friendship,” said Heather Jones. “We hope you’ll join us.”

Renee Tahtinen, a new member at Friendship, said she was blessed by the fall ladies’ event held in November. She paired up with a veteran church member, and they attended all of the in-home harvest fellowship gatherings held over one weekend.

“It was such a blessing to get to know so many people one on one,” Renee said. “It was the biggest blessing and unforgettable to realize that I am now part of a church family that truly lives by their name ‘Friendship Baptist Church.’”
