Seen, Remembered, Loved
A simple visit can become a sacred moment.
On National Shut-In Visitation Day, discover how listening well, showing up, and sharing small acts of kindness can deeply encourage others — and change us, too.

God’s faithfulness has carried our church through every season, from the small beginnings to the joyful celebrations of this month.

Over the past year, FBC ladies of all ages have been coming together to study the book of Colossians, growing in faith, friendship, and a deeper understanding of who Christ is.
As God’s Word has taken root in their hearts, He also has formed a strong community of women walking boldly in truth, in grace, and in unity.
Experiencing the goodness of Christ naturally compels us to share Him with others.
During Missions Conference 2025, we were challenged by three missionary families who are passionately pursuing souls around the world, leaving no soul behind.
Missionaries around the world, both local and abroad, face immense challenges as they engage in the ministry of the Gospel. As believers, we must pray for them intentionally and specifically.
Here are seven key challenges missionaries face and how we can pray for them.
In mid-October, seventeen FBC couples of all ages headed to a Couples’ Conference at The Wilds Christian Camp in the mountains of Brevard, North Carolina.
Leaves were turning golden and reddish hues, and evidence of Hurricane Helene’s flooding littered the roadsides with dried mud, downed trees, and debris.
Despite sustaining some storm damage, The Wilds opened up for camp just days before Friendship couples came to enjoy God’s beauty, great food, and fun activities, along with biblical teaching, music, and fellowship.
Christian camp can lay a foundation, but it’s up to the Church to build off of that foundation and continue to disciple, to support, and to train that young person for Christ. The Wilds acknowledges this, and they do a wonderful job helping refresh and prepare the sponsors during that week to be ready to continue with the camp decisions well after camp.
So here we are—several weeks removed from camp, and we’re needing to continue to keep that flame that they had at camp into this school year and help it become a life-shaping experience for them.
During Spring Break, thirteen people headed up to Brooklyn, New York to help at Bay Ridge Baptist Church.
You may ask, “Why would someone want to spend almost a week away from their family, use up a whole week of vacation, and be in Brooklyn—a city that you wouldn’t necessarily consider to be the safest place to be?”
Well, the short answer is that we love the Lord!
You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Every man for himself!”
I’ve said this jokingly after disturbing a bee’s nest and many other times when self preservation quickly became my top priority.
Since the beginning of time, man has been tempted to look out for himself at the neglect of others. In Genesis 4, God asks Cain, “Where is Abel thy brother?” to which Cain replies, “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
Perhaps surprising to Cain, the answer is and continues to be a resounding “yes!”
What if the story of the prodigal son and the Christmas story got together? Our 2023 Christmas musical, “Coming Home to Bethlehem” provides at least a possible answer to that question.
An original drama set in Bethlehem, PA is matched with sparkling music presented by the choirs and orchestra of Friendship Baptist Church to tell a story of rebellion, hurt, longing, waiting, and redemption.
