While it is easy for us to find our identity in what we do, I am so thankful that earning God’s acceptance is not based on my performance, but based on the perfect performance of Jesus Christ. His love for me is not based on a job title, but based on my being His child. And as His child, I often choose temporal over eternal investments, yet God’s love for me remains the same. And I have found that the motivating desire to invest in the eternal is birthed out of the knowledge that God will accept and love me even if I fail.
We strive for a God-focused approach to all our music. Does the text and music explicitly reveal truth about God in what it says? Does it point to the Gospel as the only hope for man? Does it accurately proclaim truth? Does the music further implicitly reflect God’s goodness, order, beauty, holiness, and righteousness?

The life God gives to us at the moment of salvation is both eternal and divine. Since it is eternal, it can never be lost. Since it is divine, it overpowers sin and self. God is not an “Indian giver!” Neither is He a permissive Father to His children!
Jesus Christ came into this world on a search-and-rescue mission. He said of Himself, “the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
So now the question becomes, “From what do I need to be saved?” The answer to that is two-fold.
